A participatory workshop based on Donggeun Lee’s Gadeokdo Birdsong Music Festival and his ongoing research into the ecological environment of Gadeokdo Island. Participants will listen collectively to the island’s diverse natural soundscape—including birdsong, waves, and wind—and collaboratively create a shared sonic composition using their voices, breathing, and simple instruments. Reflecting on the ecological and cultural landscapes threatened by development and environmental change, the workshop proposes listening as a practice of care and solidarity, expanding awareness of the interdependencies of human and non-human life.
