Eunji Cho reconsiders anthropocentric perspective through conjunctions of human and nonhuman beings, exploring the unconscious structures of boundaries formed within humans through performance, installation, and drawing. Using urban by-products such as soil and dust, as well as animal bodies, as mediating elements, Cho reconstructs the boundaries between the conscious and the unconscious, human and nonhuman, and experiments with the possibilities of new modes of existence and hybrid languages. Through her exploration of organic connections with nonhuman beings, the artist has continued to expand ecological and post-anthropocentric discourses.
